(...) Uma árvore de Natal não é uma mera peça de exibição de luz em função da sua natureza volumétrica. A beleza de uma árvore de Natal não deve ser pautada pelo ranking do seu tamanho. O seu simbolismo é muito maior.A árvore de Natal da Cidade deve simbolizar partilha, ponto de encontro entre amigos e famílias que em seu redor partilham tempos de lazer e momentos que podem perpetuar na nossa memória. Crianças a saltitarem em torno da árvore contemplando as suas luzes. Um espaço público iluminado de cor e de afectos. Confesso não sentir tal emoção na minha cidade e por isso mesmo mantenho a minha preferência pela árvore de Natal do Rockefeller Center, em NY!in Objectiva3, 4-12-2008

Midway through “Finian’s Rainbow,” which opens Thursday on Broadway, the stage veteran Terri White delivers a bluesy, rasping version of the song “Necessity.” The character wants to play, to rest her “head in the shade,” but, Ms. White belts out, turning to the face the audience directly, “the rent ain’t paid"!
